Candidates without Prior litigation experience in personal injury will not be considered.
To be considered for this position you must have at least 3-5 years of prior experience in this role and with consistent work history.
The ideal candidate should have at least 3-5 years of demonstrable litigation experience handling Personal Injury cases.
Must be admitted to practice law in the State of NY
· Chosen candidates will be expected to handle all aspects of litigation including drafting, reviewing and analyzing all types of legal documents, file review, legal research, drafting pleadings and representing clients in court. Must have strong legal writing and analytical skills and be able to draft and oppose various motions. Must be able to participate in court proceedings including settlement conferences, oral arguments on motions, status hearings, etc.
Must have ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work independently. May perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned.
· Motion practice, conducting research practice is concentrated in personal injury litigation.
· - Responsibilities:
· Conduct document review and analysis
· Perform legal research and draft memoranda, motions, oppositions, demands etc.
· Assist with discovery-related tasks
Potentially defend and conduct depositions (for candidates with relevant experience)
Qualifications:
· Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
· Admission to practice law in New York State
· Federal court admission (SDNY or EDNY) is a plus but not required
· Prior document review and analysis experience required
· Prior experience in litigation is required
· Strong legal writing and analytical skills
· Must have knowledge of word document, be able to type,
This is an in person office position and no remote work is allowed.
Must be able to commute to Queens, New York.
Must commit to at least 2 years of work or more
