Good morning ilaw hive mind,

I have a question for the landlord tenant lawyers out there, if you have a quick thought you can share with me let me know. Thank you in advance.

One of my neighbors is a super in a rent stabilized building. It's a family owned building and the father gave the super a rent stabilized lease with the regulated rent but then he waived all rent payments because the guy is the super. The father died and now the daughter is asking him to sign a weird looking rider that seems to correspond to a special lease for superintendents. Have you ever heard of or seen a special lease for superintendents in rent stabilized buildings?

Kind regards,

Zara Watkins, Esq.
